Last night some of my wonderful island friends threw me and Baby G a shower! A big thanks goes out to Kristen, Clare, Mary, Crystal, and Tarah for putting so much thought into it and making it a special night. We enjoyed the sunset while visiting, played baby scategories, snacked on some delicious cupcakes, I opened up presents!, and everyone filled out a 'well wishes for baby' card. It was a great night, and a nice way to see everyone again before leaving the island. I had a great time reading through all the well wishes for baby cards when I got home last night. It was good that I was alone because I was a big mess reading them all, they were so sweet and encouraging. Thanks for the awesome night ladies, you are the best and I will miss you terribly!
A funny note about how I am obviously not a mom yet - We played scategories and the letter was "O", well one of the things we had to write down was a baby brand starting with the letter "O" and I couldn't think of one. Later, when I was opening gifts, I received a cute baby toy that had a "0+ m" on the packaging. I told the girls..Oh, here's a baby company that starts with the letter O! When I got home I looked at it again, and "0+ m" means the toy is suitable for children of "zero and plus months" and NOT the name of the brand. Ha. At least no one called me out on it at the shower!
