I just finished packing, and its only 12:05 am! I was worried that it would be a really long night, but that was refreshingly easy. I didn't start until 9:30 because I had a few work things to catch up on, so that really didn't take much time at all!
There are weight scales on campus that you can check out, and we checked one out on the way home from campus tonight, so I wanted to make sure that everything met the weight restrictions now, instead of waiting until the last minute and stressing myself out. We each have - one 50 lb bag, one 15 lb carry-on, and a backpack containing only a laptop and a few other small items, just like Liat likes it, and requires based on their website. AND Blake gets to take his favorite feather pillow AND we get to take our snorkel gear home with us, two things we were iffy about. Moving Blake's books around to evenly distribute them among the bags was a bit of a challenge, but as of right now, its looking like we should make it through the airport without a problem! (I have a strong dislike for that airport and seriously dread the whole check-in process).
I think the only thing I'm not sure about now is if I have enough clothes for our week in St. Martin...the good news though is that there are plenty of places to shop in St. Martin, and our carry-on bags can weigh more on our American flight from St. Martin to Dallas. In my view its not really that bad of a problem to have!
In other news - I started my second trimester! Pretty good day all around, I'm packed and I'm a third of the way through the pregnancy!
