Blake's youngest brother, Chase, visited us this week. I'm sure he imagined his Caribbean spring break to look something like this - hanging out the beach with a few beers, without a care in the world - but boy did we have other plans in store for him. We figured he'd be able to sleep on the flights home, or for the remainder of his spring break, since he was leaving on Wednesday. We wanted him to get the full Dominica experience, all packed into his four day visit, and we tried our hardest to do just that. What his trip actually looked like was more like this - long drives on buses to get to tourist destinations, lots of hiking, snorkelling, sailing on the hobiecat, visiting waterfalls, swimming in hot springs, and venturing out to local restaurants to get a taste of local cuisine. And yellow Bello, lots and lots of Bello - Chase's preferred seasoning for every meal.
Honestly, it was such a blessing to get to spend the time with Chase, and share this part of our lives with him. I hope that although it was an activity packed visit, he went home rejuvenated and felt at least a little more relaxed then when he left the states. Thanks for the visit Chase, Blake and I really enjoyed sharing our little piece of paradise with you!
