We Got a Care Package! (and its V-day!)

Valentines day on the island meant test day for Blake. He had two tests today, Histology and an Anatomy lab practical. He feels pretty good about them. Our landlord went a little psycho today on us because we have a few...ok a LOT...of complaints about our apartment, but other than that, today was a good day...and here is why:

Blake gave me flowers yesterday, so this morning I put them on my "work" desk so I can see them during the day.

Today we received a care package, from the great state of Texas, from the two best friends a girl can have, Janine and Michelle. Thank you soo much ladies! Blake received an email from the university saying that he had a parcel to pick up..which its good its a Monday, because I wanted to go pick it up RIGHT that minute..it was so exciting to get mail. Apparently customs goes through your packages, and they are "conveniently" at the post office on campus on Mon, Wed, and Fri from 10 am to 1 pm, so those are the only times you can pick up a package. Anyways, while customs was rummaging through our box, I was able to read the lovely letter that the girls sent! I think this was an attempt on the customs people's part to get me to stop crying (happy tears) and being nosy from across the little glass window.

ok...this is what the AWESOME care package included:

Cranium board game - This is something that we had to leave at the Tampa airport when our luggage was too heavy to board...but now we have a brand new one!!! yay....

Chocolate candy - need I say more??

Dress and flip flops - so awesome...I haven't been able to shop AT ALL so I put the dress on immediately and wore it all day long!

Benedryl spray - to help with all my mosquito bites! I have a ton of them...mosquito bites that is, not anti-itch spray..

Oven thermometer - because I have no idea how warm the oven is...EVER..I just kind of estimate it..our knob doesn't work.

Spoon rest - because it looks cool and is handy at the same time

Pudding packets - who doesn't love pudding? ...and I should be able to make some ice cream with them

Brownie mixes - I love brownies!

It honestly made my month that I got that box of goodies. Now don't get any crazy ideas, these ladies absolutely SHOULD NOT have sent it...shipping is outrageous..but all the same, thank you guys...you know I love you.
