Shower for Dominic

Two great friends of mine, Janine and Michelle, threw me and Dominic a shower a few weekends ago in San Antonio. I figured it has been a while since I've blogged, and it was a fabulous shower, so I thought I'd share a little bit of it with the blog world!

Sharing a few pictures -

The girls set up a little brunch -

 including cute cupcakes with baby blue icing middles!

Shower games

We played the "don't say the word baby" game, the price is right (I guessed the exact price of 3 of the 10 items..pretty proud of myself), and guess how big my belly is, using toilet paper squares.

Guess how big my belly is -
{it was only between 9 and 10 toilet paper squares, but most guesses were wayyy more}

Advice for baby -

You basically finish the sentences and give advice to the baby.
The girls out in Dominica started this, and I wanted to keep it going.
Dominic's gotten some pretty unique advice through this,
and I plan on saving all the pages and starting a book for him.

Gifts

Of course Dominic already has a few A&M outfits.
{This one is courtesy of Rhett and Kathryn}
No pressure or anything ;)

These fools put my cape on backwards!! soo cute!

Michelle had to leave early to go to work - and we never got a group pic...!

She made it in this one! Erica, Carina, and Michelle

Thanks again to Michelle and Janine for the fabulous shower!

A special note to the family members that came - My three great aunts came out to the shower. My grandma died when I was in junior high, and these three women - my Aunt Mary, Aunt Kathy and Aunt Pat - stepped in and have been present at every major event since, every graduation, wedding, wedding shower, and haven't forgotten a birthday. They have been wonderful grandma figures and I thank them so much for taking me in and making me feel special at so many times in my life. A big thanks to my second cousins Jenny and Debra that came too, I love you guys.

(and thanks for the pictures, Janine!)
